Over Florida: Spring 2024

This work was completed in March, as a 36 x 36 inch acrylic painting on paper. It is mounted on a cradled wood panel and ready to hang. On the way to this idea, “Over Florida” went through more than six iterations. Using a variety of tools including brushes, brayer, squeegees, hands, palette knife, and others I laid down layer after layer of color that echoes the lushness of Florida’s tropical floral profusion in springtime.
